Editorial policy
This page explains how Photopromptly creates and updates its content.
Original prompts
Every prompt on this site is written by us. We don't copy prompts from other websites, social media posts or apps. Each prompt comes with a short explanation of what its wording asks the AI to do and a suggestion for changing it.
Honest about results
AI image apps produce a different result each time and change their models often. We describe what a prompt asks for and why that wording tends to help, but we never promise a particular result, and we don't publish made-up success rates.
Facts about apps
Statements about how an app works, what it allows and how it handles your data come from the app maker's official help, policy or blog pages. We list those pages under "Sources" on each guide. If we can't verify something, we leave it out.
Safety and respect
- Our prompts are for editing your own photos, or photos of people who have agreed to it.
- We don't publish prompts that sexualise anyone, make children look older, imitate real celebrities, or change skin colour or body shape.
- Religious and national symbols are treated with respect. Festival prompts keep altars and idols softly in the background instead of redrawing them, and keep lamps, bonfires and sparklers away from faces, hair and clothes.
Images
Some prompts show an example image. These are generated by an AI app from a text-only version of the prompt and show fictional people, not real photos of anyone. Each one is labelled as AI-generated, and we reject images with errors such as extra fingers, garbled text or unsuitable details. Your own result will differ. We never publish other people's photos or AI edits made from them.
Updates and corrections
Each page shows the date it was last updated. Festival pages are refreshed before each year's festival. If you spot an error, please tell us. We correct confirmed mistakes and update the date.
