AI Photo Prompt Generator
Choose a few options and get a detailed photo editing prompt you can paste into Gemini, ChatGPT or Midjourney. It updates as you change each option.
Choose your options
Using the uploaded photo, create an ultra-realistic photograph of the man from the photo. Style: shot on a professional DSLR with an 85mm lens, natural skin texture and sharp focus. Use a natural, confident pose and a relaxed expression. Keep the face exactly as in the uploaded photo: same facial features, skin tone, hairstyle and age. Do not beautify, slim or change the identity. Correct hands and fingers, no text, no watermark, no extra people. Aspect ratio 4:5.
Open Gemini, attach your photo with the + button, paste the prompt and send. If the face drifts, reply "keep my face exactly as in the original photo" and regenerate.
How to use the generator
- Pick the AI app. The wording changes slightly per app. Photo-upload apps get an instruction to edit "the uploaded photo", and Midjourney gets an
--arratio flag instead of a sentence. - Pick who is in the photo. Group options (couple, family, friends) add a line asking for natural poses and for every face to stay the same.
- Add an occasion, outfit and background. Leave any of them on the first option if you want the app to keep what is already in your photo.
- Choose lighting, style and framing. These change the look the most. A realistic style with soft or golden light is the safest choice for a profile photo.
- Copy the prompt, open your AI app, upload your photo and paste it. Generate two or three versions, then ask for small fixes one at a time.
What each part of the prompt does
Every prompt this tool writes follows the same order, because image models respond better to a clear structure than to a long list of keywords:
- Main instruction: what to make, of whom, wearing what, and where. This is the sentence the model weighs most.
- Setting: details of the occasion, such as diyas and rangoli for Diwali or kites for Makar Sankranti, so the scene looks specific instead of generic.
- Style, lighting and framing: labelled separately so the model doesn't mix them up. "Golden-hour sunlight" and "half-body framing" are easier for a model to follow than "nice light, good angle".
- Face lock: asks the model to keep your facial features, skin tone, hairstyle and age, and not to beautify or slim. It reduces drift; it can't remove it completely.
- Clean-up line: correct hands, no added text, no watermark-style marks drawn into the image and no extra people. These are the most common problems in AI photo edits.
- Aspect ratio: 4:5 for an Instagram post, 9:16 for Reels, Stories and WhatsApp status, 1:1 for a profile picture. See the aspect ratio guide.
Tips for better results
- Start from a sharp, well-lit photo where your face is clearly visible. Our photo checklist explains what works.
- Change one thing per follow-up message ("make the background warmer") instead of pasting a new long prompt.
- Use the "Extra detail" box for one personal touch, such as a cup of chai or your pet. Too many extras crowd the image.
- If the result looks plastic or over-smoothed, switch the style to "Vintage film" or add "natural skin texture with visible pores" as extra detail.

Frequently asked questions
Is the AI photo prompt generator free?
Yes. It runs entirely in your browser, needs no account and has no usage limit. It only writes the text prompt. The image itself is made by whichever AI app you paste the prompt into.
Do you see or store my photo?
No. This page never asks for your photo. You upload your photo inside the AI app you choose, so that app's own privacy terms apply to it.
Which AI app should I pick?
Pick the app you will paste the prompt into. Gemini and ChatGPT both let you upload a photo and edit it with a written instruction, so the prompt refers to "the uploaded photo" and adds a line asking the app to keep your face the same. Midjourney is set up here as text only, so the prompt describes a person instead.
Why does my face still change sometimes?
Image models redraw the whole picture, and small changes to the face are common, especially in group photos and strong styles such as 3D or painting. Keep the face-lock option on, use a clear front-facing photo and try two or three times. Our guide on keeping your face the same covers more fixes.
Can I use the generated prompts for commercial work?
The prompt text is yours to use. Whether you can use the resulting image commercially depends on the AI app's terms and on who appears in the photo, so check both before using an image in ads or products.
